NgalSo Tantric Self Healing
a method for developing inner and universal peace, connecting this world to Shambala - how to purify body, speech and mind.
excerpt from a talk given by T.Y.S. Lama Gangchen Rinpoche in 2000 to some new friends interested in meditation.
Everyone can benefit from the teachings of Buddha Shakyamunye, without any need to convert to Buddhism. 2500 years ago, the Enlightened One dedicated himself to inner research and developed many methods for healing the body, the mind and the environment. His mantra
OM MUNI MUNI MAHA MUNI SHAKYAMUNYE SOHA
gives comforting spiritual company and awakens the most subtle healing energies that we all have within ourselves. As Lama Healer, I shall help all those in need and offer the teachings of the Buddha that have been passed down to me from great yogis, such as my Masters Trijang Dorje Chang, Zong Rinpoche and Ling Rinpoche.
At the beginning of the 1990's I developed the NgalSo Tantric Self Healing method on the basis of the teachings of Sutra and Tantra. It is a meditative pathway that helps us to transform sick, suffering, negative energies, into healthy, joyous, positive ones. The Tibetan syllable 'Ngal' means pollution and darkness. 'So' is purification and light. In other words, Ngal is the synthesis of the first two Noble Truths taught by the Buddha: suffering and its causes; and So merges the other two Truths: cessation of suffering and its causes.
NgalSo Self Healing uses the therapeutic characteristics of colour and sound, visualisation of powerful positive archetypes, control of breathing, the power of meditative concentration and gestures (mudra). It activates profound physical and mental relaxation. The ultimate objective is to reach enlightenment: through the practice of NgalSo Tantric Self Healing we learn to heal our inner and subtle energies and bring to fruition the seeds of the inborn enlightened qualities of our pure crystal original body and mind.
In the practice of NgalSo Tantric Self Healing, we meditate on the five chakras, the centres of psycho-physical energy positioned at the crown, throat, heart, navel and perineum (secret chakra) within the three principal channels. The practice starts with the purification of the five elements which constitute the body and mind: space, in this practice mainly at the crown chakra; wind at the secret chakra; fire at the navel chakra; earth at the heart chakra; and the water element at the throat chakra. Then we perform a real "pyschic surgery" through the successive, gradual visualisations, mudras and mantra recitation: we conceive the seed syllables at the chakras, followed by the symbols and lastly, the five Supreme Healers, the Dhyani Buddhas: green Amogasiddhi who heals fear, jealousy and all imbalances and physical/mental illnesses related to the secret chakra; yellow Ratnasambhava who heals pride and avarice, and all illnesses related to the navel chakra; blue Akshobya who heals hatred and anger, and all illnesses related to the heart chakra; red Amitabha who heals attachment and desire, and illnesses related to the throat chkra; white Vairochana who heals ignorance and mental dullness, and all illnesses related to the crown chakra.
The practice of NgalSo Tantric Self Healing will enable us to pacify our mental defects which cause illnesses and suffering, and transform them into the Five Wisdoms of the five Supreme Healers. We will relax body and mind and develop greater awareness of the mental factors that can cause physical imbalances. Constant practice will eventually lead to the realisations of the five Supreme Healers.
The method enables us to increase our inner peace, which is the most solid foundation for world peace.
