Motivation

Motivation means programming our mind and energies for the day, or before beginning an activity, in order to have positive results. When we wake up in the morning, we should try to remember that our original mind is as pure as crystal and think "Today I will remain peaceful at all times and I will not react in a negative way to any situation". While we get ready, washing and dressing, makeing-up our face or shaving, we also "make up" our mind with peace. We decide that we don't want to pollute our mind with anger, jealousy, attachment or other negative emotions and in this way we programme our day to go well right from the beginning. If we start off feeling stressed, nervous or angry, it will be very difficult to do anything positive or benefit others, because we have created a basis of lack of peace. This kind of motivation does not create the right conditions for success or reaching our goals.

There can be many reasons for doing the Self Healing practice: it could be simple curiosity, or a search for a deeper meaning to life; perhaps we would like to become more peaceful, or we have an illness that we want to find a cure for.

These are all good reasons, but we should find the best possible motivation: to maximise our potential in order to really help all others find peace, health and freedom.
